Owner and CEO Heather Lennon IS Imagine General Contracting and Development, a full-service design/build firm and minority-owned business. She lives and breathes each project with passion, enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism. Lennon has more than 25 years of design, construction and contracting experience, along with a niche in retail spaces and a passion for historic building restoration and adaptive reuse. Her oft heard mantra is “saving the history of Phoenix, one historic building at a time.” Lennon is the qualifying party, holding licenses in both the commercial and residential fields in Arizona and a master’s degree focused on retail store design and consumer behavior. She has not only built an unparalleled portfolio but also a team of experts and subcontractors with whom she entrusts to ensure the success of each project.

IGCD works hand in hand with Susan Nicholson, an award-winning certified Interior Designer. President and Owner of Design Works Interiors, a full-service Interior Design firm dedicated to providing quality interiors and superior service, Nicholson is professional member of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).

Certified by the National Council of Interior Design Qualification and recipient of multiple awards for residential design from the seven-state Southeast Home Builders’ Association and Volusia County Builders’ Association, Nicholson has taught the certification exam for Interior Designers and ADA compliance courses as well as numerous classes in Interior Design topics ranging from Historical Architecture, Kitchen and Bath Design and Space Planning. She maintains a Specialty Residential and Commercial Contractor’s License for the state of Arizona.

Imagine General Contracting and Development’s in-house architect brings more than 20 years of experience working on a variety of commercial, mixed-used and multi-family projects. The projects range from small tenant improvements to complex multi-user projects. The architect oversees projects from pre-design all the way through construction administration. Throughout the project duration, IGCD’s architect provides a collaborative approach that allows the company to quickly make decisions. His client-first philosophy ensures that Imagine General Contracting and Development has an additional member on its team at all times.
